The GIMA Awards Endorsements

Michelle Thompson, Business Process Manager at EP Barrus, highlighted the strength of our collaboration:

EP Barrus trade website powered by InterSell from Aspin

“Our relationship with Aspin goes from strength-to-strength, having launched both garden and marine trade ordering portals with them, alongside Aspin’s iPad ordering app PixSell, which we implemented in 2013. Aspin demonstrated tenacity at each juncture of our projects and the result is a highly effective and integrated eco-system of products that we could not trade without. We also enjoy attending Aspin workshops where we can expand on the effectiveness of our systems and meet other clients to discuss similar industry challenges with. Barrus hope Aspin win this fantastic award.”

Echoing these sentiments, Adam Osborne, Director of Operations & IT at Woodmansterne, described the depth of our partnership:

Woodmansterne trade website powered by InterSell from Aspin

“Woodmansterne would like to support Aspin in their entry for ‘Associate of the Year’ at the GIMA awards 2025. When Woodmansterne was looking eight years ago for a new ordering tool for our reps and agents, we approached Aspin to discuss implementing its iPad sales app for reps and agents: PixSell. From the very beginning, the guys at Aspin took the time to listen and understand not only what we needed from the app at that time, but how we needed it to integrate with our operations, how it would best help us serve our retail customers (including Garden Centres of course), and where we wanted to go with the app for the future. They gave us the confidence that they would not stand still, constantly developing and improving the app keep it class leading, and crucially,multi-functional – promises that they have lived up to. Their industry knowledge has kept PixSell a class-leading, vital app for our reps and agents service the many Garden Centre’s Greeting Card departments that we look after. Following PixSell, we attended their customer workshop on InterSell, their website and trade ecommerce portal. It was fun, with an open and honest approach taken with their customers, which we really appreciated. Again, their open approach meant that business using their system for very different industries could talk and share experiences, best practice, and with Aspin’s friendly team there, work through challenges. It was an easy decision to then go on and implement InterSell as our online B2B trade store and website, and we have attended several workshops since. They are the partner to have in this field. They help us be a success for our customers, and they make a great candidate for Associate of the Year.”

Partnerships

Our journey with EP Barrus began in 2013 when we launched our PixSell sales app, revolutionising their ordering processes across both garden and marine trade sectors. This pivotal step established a foundation for further growth, leading to the successful implementation of dedicated trade ordering portals that seamlessly integrate with PixSell, enhancing efficiency and customer experience.

Similarly, Woodmansterne chose Aspin in 2017 to enhance their sales capabilities through PixSell. Recognising our ongoing commitment to innovation, they later embraced InterSell, our ecommerce portal, ensuring a cohesive and robust digital presence.

At Aspin, our approach combines innovative technology with a strong emphasis on community-building and knowledge-sharing. Our regular customer workshops are designed to foster collaboration, enabling businesses to collectively address challenges and explore new opportunities. Both EP Barrus and Woodmansterne actively participate in these workshops and have praised them as instrumental to their continued success.

Additionally, we regularly co-host webinars with GIMA, focusing on key industry topics such as sales best practices, technology integration, and market trends. These webinars, available through our dedicated Vimeo showcase, provide valuable resources to GIMA members, helping them stay ahead in a dynamic market.

This comprehensive support reflects our dedication to driving excellence and innovation within the gardening products sector. We look forward to continuing our mission of delivering meaningful technology solutions and resources that promote growth and success for our customers.
